Two roles, one shared clock

One person drives the timecode. Everyone else follows — in real time, on any device.

Operator

Connects a MIDI interface to receive MTC from the show system — Reaper, Ableton, QLab or any DAW. Manages shows, imports cue lists from Reaper SWS as CSV or directly from GrandMA3 XML timecode files. Shows are auto-detected based on their TC offset.

Viewer

Opens Timecode on any phone, tablet or laptop. Synced every 500ms. Between updates, the device's own clock keeps the countdown running smoothly — no stuttering, even on 5G or a weak WiFi signal.

Show starts

DAW begins playback and sends MTC over MIDI to the operator's laptop.

Browser decodes

Cuer reads MIDI via Web MIDI API and decodes each timecode frame in real time.

Current TC is pushed to the Cuer API every 500ms — fully isolated per company.

Countdown turns orange under 30 seconds, red and pulsing under 10. Impossible to miss, even on a bright stage.
